Started in 1998 three independent business owners came together to form The Brownstone. The partners created Harlem’s first African-American department store, offering ethnically inspired women’s clothing, accessories, cosmetic, bridal, and eveningwear, day spa , cafe, art gallery, fine jewelry and two hair salon on three level of a turn a century brownstone located at 2032 Fifth Avenue just off the famed 125th street.
